This is an excellent place to bring your dog because you can let them off the leash and let them run around on this large looping trail near Lake Austin. You will most likely cross the creek several times on this trail, so wear appropriate footwear. The trail is only about 2.5 miles long, but it is a pleasant place to get out of town and walk the dogs. If you want to swim after you finish here, you could go to the nearby City Park (Emma Long). Take a left onto City Park Road from FM 2222 in Austin and look for the sign.
